Mums innocence
Mums eager enthusiasm of sharing and giving
Mums easy forgiveness
Mums cooking
Mums constant chatter and engaging endearing ways
Mums sulk and the ease with which she would come around
Mum as a favourite punching bag who never punched back
Mums vegetable shopping and me lugging those heavy bags behind her
The sneaky stops at the vada pao wala to eat the forbidden
Mums child like excitement for the same thing done the millionth time over
Mums partiality towards ghee and its generous pouring in our food
Mums healing touch when I was in pain
Mums all encompassing unconditional love
Love you, love you, love you and miss you lots Mum

Overwhelmed. Made me realise how much i take my Mum for granted...
@Mahua -they say memories are triggered by a quick visual on tv, the smell of cooking, a faded photograph or even an offhand comment but no such thing for me. Good memories always stick
You missed to mention the "prayers of mom for her children" which protect us from all worldly evils throughout our whole lives without noticing them ever.
@Aijaz- O absolutely! Its her and my Dads prayers (as am sure all parents for their children) that keeps us healthy and strong. so many zillion things about our parents one takes for granted:(
So true Mee..you live with some memories all your life...beautiful endearing memories :)
I broke down after reading this. Miss my dad so much. Parents are the best thing that happen to you. Someday are more tough than the others but the void is there all the time.
@Darling Seema:) a special hugg for you. Don't despair- they are watching over us and continue to be our Gaurdian angels. For sure the void they leave behind cannot be filled...
This post brought so many memories rushing. Made me remember all the time I spent at your place. Cannot forget your moms chola was my fave. Also bought back all the tender memories of my mom and how I took her for granted, know they are all watching over us. :)
Everything there holds true for Papa as well :)
I know he's the Guardian Angel always watching over his devil here...
